Originally from Houma, Louisiana, Karly resides with her husband in a rural area of Acadia Parish surrounded by an abundance of cats, cows, chickens, horses, sheep, and a good herding dog to keep everyone in line. In her free time, Karly enjoys traveling, riding horses, reading fiction, fishing, hiking, baking, and wine tastings.

Karly Dorr

Karly Kyzar Dorr joined the firm in 2022. Her primary practice areas include Business/Commercial Transactions and Litigation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Property Dispute Litigation, Estate Planning, and Successions. Ms. Dorr’s business practice includes a variety of services such as assisting with business start-ups, organizing corporate records of existing businesses, advising on Corporate Transparency Act compliance, and drafting and negotiating various business contracts (such as LLC operating agreements, commercial/residential/agricultural lease agreements and service agreements). Ms. Dorr’s estate planning practice includes the preparation of last wills and testaments, general and limited powers of attorney, and inter vivos and testamentary trusts.
