Neuner elected 2017 Chairman of One Acadiana

Frank NeunerLafayette, LA – One Acadiana (1A) recently hosted its inaugural Annual Investor Meeting to highlight progress across business development, policy, and membership initiatives, while looking ahead to regional growth.

The event brought together over 150 of the region’s business leaders and 1A announced the election of its 2017 Officers:

  • Frank Neuner, Managing Partner of NeunerPate, will serve as the 2017 Chairman
  • Don Broussard, Secretary/Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of The Lemoine Company, will serve as the 2017 Chair-Elect
  • Kathy Bobbs, Chief Executive Officer of Women’s & Children’s Hospital, will serve as 2017 Treasurer
  • Jerry Vascocu, Acadiana Market President of IBERIABANK, will serve as Immediate Past Chairman

“It’s a privilege to serve as the 2017 chairman for One Acadiana,” said Neuner. “Since its launch, this organization has gained momentum through dedicated initiatives and a focus on regionalism. I’m committed to seeing those efforts continue and strengthen in the next year.”

A new slate of directors has been added to the board:

  • Buffy Domingue, Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital, Lafayette Parish
  • Paul Durand, St. Martin Bank & Trust Company, St. Martin Parish
  • Anita Fontenot, Southwest Fidelity Corporation/Fontenot’s Hatchery, Evangeline Parish
  • Ken Lazard, Destiny of Faith Christian Center Church, Lafayette Parish
  • Jason Patout, Gulf Coast Bank, Vermilion Parish
  • Elena Pecoraro, Pecoraro Law, Lafayette Parish
  • Mark Suellentrop, Cabot Corporation, St. Mary Parish

“Frank’s commitment to our region and his strong leadership skills will accelerate the momentum around One Acadiana’s goals and vision,” said Jerry Vascocu, 2016 Chairman. “We celebrate the organization’s positive contributions to the region, and we now welcome the new directors to our regional board as we continue to build regional relationships and capacity.”

“Our region has significant opportunities that can only be unlocked with focused leadership,” said Jason El Koubi, President and CEO of One Acadiana.  “As we all work together across parish lines to move the needle on Acadiana’s priorities, such as the completion of I-49 South, the development of a 21st century workforce, and diversification of our economic drivers, it is essential that we have strong leadership in place. I’ve worked closely with these individuals, and I’m thrilled to have their leadership in 2017 and beyond.”
