Coreil Awarded LADC’s The Frank L. Maraist Award
On August 10, 2017, Jeffrey Coreil was awarded The Frank L. Maraist Award by the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel at the organization’s annual LADC Young Lawyers Awards and Board Dinner in New Orleans.
The Frank Maraist Award, named after former Louisiana State University Law Center Professor Frank L. Maraist, recognizes a young lawyer who demonstrates professional excellence, service and commitment to pro bono work and community service and contributes to furthering the ideals of the legal profession.
Coreil began practicing law in 2009 and was named Partner at NeunerPate in 2016. His practice is primarily focused on civil litigation, including areas in admiralty and maritime, toxic tort and environmental litigation and employment law litigation. Coreil has represented clients in a broad range of matters from Jones Act and maritime claims to employment discrimination claims.
Serving as the Chairman for the Lafayette Volunteer Lawyers Committee, and co-chair of the Louisiana Access to Justice Commission, Coreil is actively engaged in representing pro bono clients in domestic violence and family law matters and promoting access to justice for Louisiana’s indigent citizens. He is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Lafayette Bar Association, and serves as the LADC District 3 Representative.
